LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to work for a large manufacturing/distribution company in the Deer Park, NY area.

There is an immediate opening for an accounts payable specialist.

Qualified candidates must have full-cycle A/P experience and the ability to function well in a highvolume setting. The qualified candidate will be reviewing and entering all invoices, check requests, matching up of purchase orders, and all other aspects of compliance within accounts payable.

Additional responsibilities:

Ability to properly match purchase orders & invoices

Obtain proper approvals for all payments

Understand general ledger accounts and proper coding

Resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner

Maintain and keep current the hard copy files for accurate record keeping

Assist with any special projects that arise

Qualifications:

Requires a minimum of 1-2 years work experience in accounting/finance, with an emphasis in the area of accounts payable

College degree preferred

Proficient in Excel with the ability to download & manipulate large quantities of data

Computer literate with the ability to understand and become knowledgeable in the Companys accounting software package

Excellent communication skills interacting with customers

Strong attention to detail, high volume and the ability to meet deadlines
