Leyman Manufacturing is a family owned manufacturer of truck liftgates that was incorporated in 1940. We are a small company, so our entry level employees are cross-trained and wear many hats because versatility gives the candidate the tools needed to advance in the organization and to make significant contributions to our organization's success.

The candidate that fills this position will be assisting in all aspects of the production process- steel fabricating, pallet building, banding and shrink wrapping LTL parcels for shipment, assisting in the machine shop with the drill press and metal band saw, assembling power units and assisting with liftgate QC inspections. Salary is negotiable depending on skills & experience and on the job training is available for this entry level position.

Job Requirements

Must be mechanically inclined.

Must be enthusiastic and willing to learn.

Ability & willingness to drive/operate a forklift and become PIT certified

Must have reliable transportation.

Willingness to "work on your feet" for a full eight hour shift in a non climate controlled environment.

Pluses

Ability to demonstrate a basic knowledge and understanding of electric and electrical systems.

Ability to demonstrate a basic knowledge and understanding of hydraulic systems.

Prior shipping/packing/picking experience with industrial parts and heavy equipment

Basic MIG Tack Welding experience/training- A HUGE Plus
