Level Green is hiring a full-time, small equipment mechanic for our shop in the Upper Marlboro, MD location. What we're seeking:

· Safety-focused individual

· Small engine repair knowledge for 2-cycle engines: grounds care, landscape, and snow and ice equipment.

· An understanding of the proper methods of servicing landscaping equipment and the repair and adjustment of power mowing equipment.

· Ability to change oil, hydraulic, and all other necessary fluids in a variety of different vehicles and equipment.

· Knowledge of commercial stand-on mowers and commercial landscaping mowers.

· Working knowledge of the general operation of gasoline, diesel, and electric-powered equipment.

· A tech-savvy individual, able to pick up new computer software.

· Knowledge of tire repair and maintenance.

· Mechanical and diagnostic ability.

· Experience managing shop personnel.

· Great communication skills.

Requirements

· Experience maintaining and repairing landscape equipment, such as stand-on mowers and small two-cycle hand-held tools.

· Assist in maintaining a clean and well-organized parts and inventory room.

· Lift/pull heavy objects of at least 50 lbs. (100 lbs.)

· Demonstrate independent action and resourcefulness on the job. Performs duties in an acceptable manner and with minimal supervision.

· Remain self-motivated and deliver work product that is detail-oriented and reflects company quality standards.

· Ability to work off hours for snow removal

· Bilingual (Spanish/English) is beneficial

· Valid and current driver's license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.

· Willingness to travel to different offices, the company will pay mileage.

· Applicant must provide their own tools.

· DOT Medical Certification required.

· MUST be authorized to work in the United States and have a valid Driver's License.
