Position Overview:

As a member of our team, you will assist in various construction tasks, contributing to the completion of projects safely, efficiently, and on time. This role requires a strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and maintenance of construction sites by cleaning, loading, or unloading materials, and setting up necessary equipment.

Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, saws, and other equipment as directed.

Support skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, masons, and other construction workers by providing necessary materials and tools.

Aid in the erection of scaffolding and ladders for construction team members to work safely.

Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites, which may include digging trenches, backfilling excavations, compacting earth, and moving earth and materials.

Assist in the installation of structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, fences and trim.

Follow all health and safety regulations and ensure a clean and safe job site environment.

Collaborate with team members to ensure project specifications and deadlines are met.

Report directly to the site supervisor and follow instructions for daily tasks.

Conduct site clean-up, including the removal of debris, hazardous materials, and other waste.

Skills and Qualifications:

Previous experience in construction or related field preferred, but not required.

Ability to read and interpret building plans and blueprints is advantageous.

Familiarity with hand and power tools and willingness to learn new techniques and skills.

Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and perform physical tasks throughout the day.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with other team members.

Ability to follow precise instructions and adhere to safety standards.

Basic math skills for measuring and calculating materials needed.

Must have valid driver's license, pass drug test, have reliable transportation, have high school diploma or GED

Work Environment:

Work will be performed outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat or cold.

The position may require working at heights or in confined spaces, so an awareness of safety protocols is essential.

Flexibility in work hours may be required to meet project deadlines, including the possibility of overtime or weekend work.
