Overview:

Responsible for developing specialization in hospital reimbursement and applying technology and differential solutions to solve hospital reimbursement challenges and needs.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for developing specialization in hospital reimbursement and applying technology and differential solutions to solve hospital reimbursement challenges and needs.

Exhibit a thorough understanding of healthcare financial accounting and reimbursement, including but not limited to S10 reporting, cost report preparation, wage index filing, DSH, month-end close, net revenue analysis, and Medicare bad debt.

Apply healthcare expertise, data analysis, and technological acuity to simplify the business of healthcare for thousands of hospitals and physician offices nationwide.

Oversee and manage teams, client accounts, and client engagements, such as overall business and financial strategies that meet client net revenue goals.

Develop business strategies using tools such as customer research, forecasting, reserve evaluations, and net revenue optimization.

Identify critical business issues and risks related to contract modelling to mitigate, structure, and evaluate reserve rates using Kodiak's reserve modelling platform: Revenue Cycle Analytics (RCA).

Analyze historical collection of portfolios of accounts to value estimated net receivables.

Understand client needs, provide targeted advice, and develop thoughtful solutions that meet client objectives in the short, medium, and long-term using a goals-based planning approach.

Remote work permitted up to 3 days per week.

Qualifications:

Must have a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or equivalent and four years of post-baccalaureate experience 1) using Financial Reporting Software to prepare financial statements and monthly reconciliations; 2) in a consulting organization or hospital and health system environment; and, 3) preparing and examining financial records, identifying areas of opportunity and risk, and providing solutions to stakeholders. Of the four years, must have two years of experience 1) using technical and analytical skills to assess risks in complex contract modeling and structure reserves rates; 2) in preparing and reviewing annual operating budgets and performance projections; and, 3) leveraging analytics data and insights to improve work processes and results for healthcare customers.

Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) certification required.
