About the Role The Director of Information Technology (IT) is responsible for providing direction and leadership to the engineering, system administration, network, and service desk teams. The position will plan, coordinate, direct, and design IT-related activities of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of IT personnel. This position collaborates with senior managers across the Credit Union to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving innovation and efficiency within IT departments. Develop and implement IT strategies aligned with KCU objectives and growth plans.

Keep current with technologies through direct research on potential technology solutions.

Collaborate with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements priorities and allocate resources accordingly.

Maintains an appropriate IT organizational structure that supports business needs. Assesses and makes recommendations on the improvement or re-engineering of the IT organization.

Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement in the department.

Set clear goals and performance expectations for team members and provide regular feedback and coaching.

Lead IT Department operational planning, purchasing, budgeting, and asset management.

Overall responsibility for the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.

Benchmark, analyze report on, and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.

Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.

Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
