JOB FUNCTION:

Performs a variety of accounting tasks applying accepted procedures to the preparation and maintenance of accounting and other records

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Accounts Payable duties including:

Process incoming accounts payable invoices

Verifying accuracy

Assigning appropriate general ledger codes

Ensure timely and accurate vendor payments

Review vendor account balances to identify and resolve any discrepancies

Accounts Receivable duties including:

Assist with various accounting tasks as assigned

Recording deposits in our ERP system

Sending invoices to our customers

Review customer account balances to identify and resolve any discrepancies

Bank Reconciliations

Other Account General Ledger reconciliations

Accounting jobs -- maintenance and tracking

Assist with Research and Development tax credit

Petty cash and cash advances

Expense reports -- W2 gas tracking for taxability, process payments

PO Coding -- determine proper account coding for all PO's

Working with Company Budget.

Working with Depreciation system

Working with Lease system

Assist with various accounting tasks as assigned

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists in quarterly and year-end audits

Other items deemed necessary

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF POSITION:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time

Office Environment

Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery

Frequently communicates with others and must be able to exchange accurate information

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Two year degree in Accounting or related business field. Four year degree in Accounting or related business field and two years' experience in manufacturing environment preferred

QUALIFICATIONS:

Working knowledge of accounting theories and practices and accepted office procedures

Ability to perform a volume of numerical detail work with speed and accuracy (to operate a calculator or adding machine by touch)

Ability to understand and follow complex oral and written instructions

Ability to prepare financial and other records in a systematic manner

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Computer skills required -- Microsoft Office products a must
