We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our team at JSW Steel USA. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting our accounting department's operations. The ideal candidate will contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality steel products while ensuring financial integrity.

Responsibilities

.Prepare general ledger postings and bank statements

.Create and update spreadsheets of daily transactions

.Reconcile accounts as when due

.Investigate accounting discrepancies and problems as when needed

Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, and ensure all transactions are recorded properly.

Assist with preparation of reports on financial reporting, monthly, quarterly, and annually,

Keep records of invoices and tax payments as needed

Manage company's liabilities (e.g. insurance premium)

Identify and address account discrepancies

Report on financial projections (e.g. liquidity and cash flow)

Analyze financial processes for inefficiencies and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Keep accurate records of costs and accruals as when due

Provide support and assistance to finance personnel

Requirements

P No less than 3 years of corporate accounting experience

Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting and other relevant certifications are a plus.

Hands-on experience with accounting software (i.e. SAP, Sage Depreciation Software)

Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and charts and using financial Excel functions including but not limited to Pivot tables, VLOOKUP's)

Good understanding of bookkeeping procedures with a strong aptitude for numbers

Ability to properly organize and prioritize tasks, as well as office environment

Attention to detail

Work efficiently to meet deadlines

Confidentiality

Office-based with no options for remote work.

Ability to work evenings and weekend to meet deadlines
