ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

The Jefferson County Water and Sewer District is accepting applications for the position of Administrative Assistant.

The position is under administrative direction of the Director of Sanitary Engineering.

Job Responsibilities: Prepares agency payroll, tracks revenue and expenses and reports variances to the Director. Handles purchase orders and related fiscal matters, prepares reports, correspondence, and other documentation for the Director and Operations Supervisor. Conducts research for the Director, prepares news releases and other materials for dissemination to the news media, keeps files of current projects and personnel. Performs any other duties assigned by the Sanitary Engineer.

Applicant must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PDF, and must learn the County Auditor Payroll and Purchasing Software. Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED supplemented by courses in basic accounting, and possess at least (2) years business office experience. Successful applicant must have or obtain a Notary Public State of Ohio.
