Job Purpose

The Corporate Tax Specialist is responsible for supporting federal and state tax compliance, reporting, and tax planning activities relating to Jackson National Life Insurance Company and certain affiliates.

Essential Responsibilities

Prepares federal, state, and local tax returns.

Prepares statutory and GAAP income tax provisions and other documentation to support tax reporting in internal and external financial statements.

Assists in gathering documentation and preparing correspondence to tax authorities for tax audits and to respond to issued notices.

Maintains and updates the tax compliance calendars.

Assists with researching federal and state tax matters.

Assists with the tax analysis for other special projects.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other relevant software.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree , preferably in Accounting or Finance, required.

Master's Degree in Accounting or Taxation preferred.

0-2+ years of experience in public accounting tax and/or corporate tax preferred.

Federal, State, and local tax experience preferred.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
