We are seeking drivers who will operate dump trucks to transport construction materials to and from commercial, municipal, and infrastructure projects throughout the Hampton Roads area. We are looking for individuals who are punctual, professional, and committed to providing excellent customer service while maintaining safe driving practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Safely operate Class A or Class B dump trucks.

Transport wet and dry materials to designated job sites.

Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

Maintain accurate daily driver logs and vehicle inspection reports.

Secure loads and comply with all DOT regulations and company safety policies.

Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers.

Keep trucks clean and report maintenance issues promptly.

Assist with minor maintenance checks as needed.

Represent J D Hauling professionally at all job sites.

Qualifications

Valid CDL Class A or Class B license.

Clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review.

Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.

Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and participate in random drug testing.

Minimum one year of commercial driving experience preferred (construction or dump truck experience is a plus).

Knowledge of Hampton Roads roadways and construction sites is preferred.

Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety.

Physical Requirements

Ability to climb in and out of trucks multiple times daily.

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Ability to bend, stoop, and perform routine vehicle inspections.
