About this Opportunity

The Accounts Payable Specialist plays a critical role in the procurement process at Intrinsic Schools. Through collaboration with others, the Accounts Payable Specialist strives for continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities

Review, code, and process invoices and requests for payment in a timely manner, monitoring accounts payable aging

Obtain and file all required documents for new vendors/contractors and subcontractors

Maintain vendor relationships, responding in a timely manner to vendor inquiries and requests

Reconcile account statements and investigate discrepancies

Prepare checks for mailing/distribution

Create purchase orders for purchase requisitions, coordinate purchases with vendors, and monitor the status of orders

Verify, match, and file all pertinent documentation related to purchases, receipts of goods, and invoices

General office clerical and administrative functions

Additional duties or special projects assigned by the Director of Finance and Operations

Required Skills/Abilities

Associate's degree OR 2-4 years of prior accounts payable or bookkeeping experience

Able to work independently in a fast paced environment

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Able to meet deadlines, multitask, and prioritize work

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Technology savvy and comfortable working in a technology driven environment

Strong work ethic
