Nationwide distributor looking for an Accounting Manager to supervise daily activities of accounts payable and billing personnel. This positionensures the accurate and timely billing of customer orders, processing of vendor invoicing and adhering to all SOX controls surrounding these processes.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage all billing specialists and accounts payable processors

Manage the electronic AP Inbox to make sure invoices are closed and exceptions are cleared in a timely manner

Manage the timeliness of sales order billing

Prepare the weekly open order job problem report and attend the weekly meeting

Manage the AP ledger and prepare month-end AP and Accrued Voucher reconciliations

Ensure vendor discounts are taken and prepare monthly AP Discount report by vendor

Manage the month-end and year-end closings to ensure all vendor invoices have been worked and all completed orders have been billed

Ensure all SOX accounting controls are being followed

The following skills are required:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business management

Leadership and team management

Strong communication

Problem-solving and analytical

Detail Oriented

Time Management

Proficient with ERP systems and Excel
