Subsidiary of a nationwide distributor looking for a Corporate Controller. Primary duty is to maintain tax, governmental and regulatory compliance. Audit experience or SOX compliance knowledge is preferred. We are in the Westport area of St. Louis County, and the position is an in-office role. Thi

s position reports to the Executive VP/CFO and requires an accounting degree.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Manage adherence to accounting controls

Review and approve various finance transactions

Prepare and distribute Daily Results Sheet to Management

Manage inventory integrity and coordinate inventory counts

Prepare weekly Cash Forecasts

Reporting for GSA contract

Ensure timely completion of all journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statements

Prepare and submit quarterly bank Collateral Files

Review all Sales and Use Tax and Business Licenses notices and ensure returns are filed timely

Assist with internal audits and periodic sales tax audits

Assist in the development of finance procedures and policies and keep manuals up to date

Utilize Crystal Reports for financial analysis and reporting

Special accounting projects as assigned by CFO or President
