The Campus will provide full-spectrum care for persons living with all stages of dementia and support for their families. A 12-person Assisted Living Center, a 10-person Hospice Inpatient Care Home, an Adult Day Center, and a Child Center will provide superb and creative person-centered care, and a Community Education Center will educate and inspire physicians, nurses, social workers, caregivers, families, and the community to improve quality of life for persons living with dementia.

Position Profile

If you are looking for a new opportunity where you can utilize your culinary skills while making a difference in the lives of those living with dementia, then this may be the right position for you! We are seeking a food service cook who will provide nutritious and enticing meals for our assisted living residents, adult day club members and hospice patients.

Responsibilities

Basic line cooking experience within a high quality restaurant, country club, hotel or senior living company.

Requires knowledge of common food safety practices and materials used in food service procedures.

Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and community guests.

Assisting with training and development of staff/volunteers

Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure the department is kept clean and meets safety regulations.

Ability to follow a budget

Adheres to scope of practice/HOV standards and facilitates continuously improved processes/services.

Maintains and enhances professional skills.

Adheres to high standards of personal and professional conduct.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 3 years of hands- on experience in food preparation.

Knowledge of food preparation.

ServeSafe Certification or within 90 days of hire

Basic knowledge of therapeutic dietary needs.
