Position Summary: Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, provide service support functions in a legal office. Observe confidentiality in all client and firm matters. Candidates must be dependable, willing to help with various office tasks, and able to work in a professional office setting. Additionally, candidate must be a self-starter and a team player with demonstrated ability to diligently follow-through with all assignments. Solid organizational and time management skills are necessary. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Reliable & predictable attendance and punctuality is an essential

function of the job.

Qualified candidates must have a valid Kansas drivers license and a

reliable vehicle with current insurance and registration to run errands

Must be a self-starter, highly organized, detail oriented and

motivated

Must be responsive to requests and provide excellent customer

service.

Must be able to work well with attorneys and staff at all levels of

the firm

Must possess a good knowledge of Window-based computer applications

& Microsoft Office Applications

Is knowledgeable, has excellent problem-solving skills & the ability

to multi-task

Has a positive attitude, great work ethic, and excellent people

skills.

Must work well in a team oriented environment

Must have strong attention to detail and have the ability to solve

problems with little guidance and direction

Must perform well in a fast paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for opening and/or closing duties

Run errands for firm personnel

Process all outgoing mail, FEDEX, UPS, etc.

Sorting and distribution of incoming mail

Responsible for Court Filings as assigned by staff

Relief reception tasks

Conference room set up and clean up for events and meetings

Inventory, stocking and supply distribution

Trial support to attorneys at courthouse

Notarize documents

Housekeeping

Minor repairs and assembly of office furniture and equipment

Recycling

Assist with various projects as assigned

Working Conditions:

Exposure to daily outside weather conditions while running errands

either on foot or in a vehicle, approximately 75% of work time.

Extensive walking for up to 100% of work time.

Must be able to lift or transport up to 40 lbs.
