Resumes are currently being accepted for a full-time Deputy Clerk position

Office hours are Monday -- Friday 8:00 am -- 4:00 pm. Must be available to take phone calls and sign paperwork after hours 7 days a week.

Data entry, case file preparation, case management, collecting payments and bail money, receiving telephone calls, greeting the public, typing court documents, clerking complaints and warrants, filing along with various office and clerical duties assigned by the Judge and Clerk.

This position requires proficiency in typing and computer use, strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask, basic accounting knowledge, strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and complete work without supervision. Excellent communication skills and ability to work with various agencies is necessary. Interaction with the public is required either by telephone, in person, and online. Candidates must be able to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally and sit for long periods of time.

Experience in the criminal justice system would be helpful but is not required.

Compensation will be based upon experience and qualifications. Benefits include up to 80 hours of paid vacation after one year of employment, sick leave, and enrollment into Ohio employee's retirement system (OPERS). Medical, Dental, Optical, Basic Life insurance, as well as other optional benefits are offered.
