POSITION SUMMARY:The primary responsibility of this position is to receive, sort, clean, package, load and unload materials; to operate machinery and to perform various warehouse activities. Job tasks may be indoors or outdoors based on seasonality.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Warehouse Specialist:

Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship)

Receive and process warehouse stock products (pick, unload, label, store)

Maintains quality service by following organization standards

Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers

Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment

Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping machines, pallet area, and workstations neat

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Other duties as it relates to this function

Machine Operator:

Operate various production machinery

Maintain machine operating procedures

Assume responsibility of the production cycle including safety, quality and efficiency

Alert maintenance staff to upkeep or efficiency needs

Follow safety and operation procedures, rules and regulations

Essential Skills and Experience:

Previous warehouse experience

Ability to lift and move comfortably

Ability to work autonomously in an organized fashion

Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)

Preferred skills and Experience:

Proven working experience as a warehouse worker

Previous working experience as a machine operator

Current forklift license

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of the job, the incumbent is exposed to normal machine shop areas and manufacturing floor areas.
