Mechanics helper(Belton)

We are currently hiring for a Mechanics helper in our shop. This position involves assisting experienced mechanics with various tasks in a vehicle repair shop. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and have a clean driving record. (for insurance purposes)

Job Duties: . Knowledge of vehicle and motorized lawn equipment repair. . Basic preventive maintenance on vehicles (oil changes, tire rotation, battery checks and fluid top- ups) . Disassemble and reassemble of vehicle and lawn equipment components, replacing parts under the guidance of a skilled mechanic. . Performing basic diagnostics on vehicles and motorized power equipment under the guidance of a skilled mechanic. . Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used. . Perform routine and non- routine tasks servicing motorized lawn equipment. . Clean and Lubricate equipment to allow proper functioning. . Drive vehicles in and out of shop for repairs. . Assist construction and mowing crews with vehicle or power equipment maintenance at start of shift.

Requirements: . Previous experience working in a mechanic shop as a helper or apprentice preferred. . Must be at least 21 years of age (for insurance purposes) with a valid driver's license. . Must have mechanical aptitude and demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and procedures. . Experience in performing basic diagnostics on vehicles or motorized power equipment preferred. . Able to follow instructions from senior mechanics. . Communicate effectively with team members regarding service updates and vehicle status. . Able to work alone and exceed deadlines. . Able to lift at least 50 lbs. . Must be physically able to lift, bend, kneel, stoop, twist and stand throughout the day. . Bilingual is a Plus.
