Job Summary:

Our Automation Maintenance Engineer designs, develops, and optimizes production systems, special machinery, and automation solutions. The ideal candidate is team-focused and requires expertise in technical engineering, project management, cost analyses, supplier coordination, and on-site commissioning.

Responsibilities:

Technology Development

Design and develop production systems for interlinked processes and automation solutions (robots, linear modules, camera systems, etc.).

Engineer solutions for function, materials, production methods, and cost-effectiveness.

Support program planning and/or perform programming tasks.

Prepare hydraulic and pneumatic circuit diagrams.

Select suppliers and coordinate joint development projects.

Evolve & Optimize

Commission special machines, tools, and automated systems.

Plan and conduct measurements, tests, and functional trials.

Review, refine, and optimize existing designs.

Identify materials and manufacturing processes; plan and execute trials.

Documentation

Prepare technical lists, specifications, and detailed project documentation.

Write maintenance and operation manuals, risk analyses, and compliance declarations.

Engineering Calculations

Perform performance/output, strength, and capacity calculations.

Calculate hydraulic and transmission designs; assess energy consumption.

Perform detailed cost analysis for components, materials, labor, and manufacturing

processes to provide accurate cost estimates.

Materials & Procurement Support

Define material and component requirements and delivery options.

Create technical specifications for procurement.

Support purchasing and monitor supplier project progress.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, automation engineering, maintenance engineering or related field

5+ years of experience in a similar engineering role

Experience with CAD tools and hydraulic/pneumatic design

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills

Knowledge of automation components and manufacturing processes is a plus

Working Conditions:

A mix of office-based design, hands-on commissioning, and supplier collaboration, moving designs from concept to production.
