We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented leader for our Operations Manager role. This position contributes to the success of Hartwig by

leading the operational objectives of the Northern team while working closely with the Service, Applications and Engineering Services Managers as well as customer care. This person facilitates team growth and development while

analyzing current operational processes and performance to implement and communicate improvements where necessary

. Oversee day-to-day operational and commercial issues including team meetings, cadence of communications, initiative advancement, facility needs, project management, crisis management, collections, safety and security. This position is based in St. Louis, Wichita or Kansas City.

Main responsibilities include:

Build and promote Corporate Culture including communicating the mission, vision and living the core principles of knowledge, passion and achievement

Manage alliances with stakeholders to include internal and external customers, peers, team members, vendors and community

Deliver best in class customer experience alongside the sales, service, applications and customer care teams through improved efficiency, communication and effectiveness concurrently in both marketplaces: new machine tool sales and existing machine installations.

Assist with team growth and development functions which include coaching, mentoring, training

Provide support with hiring and performance coaching

Create and execute Ignition Plans and annual Roadmaps for direct reports, working collaboratively with them to develop target goals

Communicate and hold team accountable for Hartwig policies, procedures, standards, and expectations

Manage fiscal responsibility within the assigned team

Further personal growth which includes training, classes, reading and keeping current with best industry practices

The Skills

Individuals who ideally fit this role should meet the following qualifications:

Previous management experience required

Technical experience as a service or application engineer preferred; or extensive experience working directly with Hartwig customers

Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Excellent interpersonal skills, such as collaboration, listening, respect and work ethic, which lead to lasting and trusting relationships with team members and customers

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities

Excellent attention to detail and follow through

Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment using sound judgement and ability to identify and address workplace issues
