Gulf Compress is a cotton warehousing and logistics provider headquartered in Corpus Christi, Texas. Serving the regions agricultural supply chain across four facilities, we move, protect, and ship cotton bales that powers Texas agriculture.We run a modernized, technology-driven operation where safety is our absolute foundation. We are looking for reliable, safety-minded operators to join our growing team.

Opportunity

As a PIT ( Powered Industrial Truck) Operator, you will be the driving force behind our daily warehouse operations. This is not just a driving job; it is a dynamic role where you will balance active heavy machinery operation with critical inventory data management.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Operation: Operate powered industrial equipment to safely move, and stage cotton bales inside and outside the warehouse, and cargo loading and unloading.

Product Integrity: Retrieve fallen bales using proper techniques to prevent causing damage to the product or bagging.

Technology Integration: Utilize handheld scanners and mounted tablets to accurately track, log and confirm physically bale movements.

Daily Operations: Execute key production workflows, including loading, inventory proof checking, shipping documentation, system data entry, and ability to perform duties in less than optimal weather conditions.

Safety Commitment: Execute mandatory forklift safety checklists and operational protocols before and during equipment use.

Team Collaboration: Contribute to a proactive safety culture by following procedures, supporting your teammates, and communicating openly about safety concerns.

Clear Communication: Maintain regular, clear communication with supervisors and coworkers regarding receiving, shipping, and daily warehouse activities.

Shift and Location

Shift Flexibility: Available for both day and night shifts, with the understanding that shift assignments may change based on changing operational demands.

Location Mobility: Ability to work across our various facility locations in both Corpus Christi and Portland, Texas, as operational needs shift.

Language: Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are highly valued but not mandatory.

Physical Requirements

Ability to operate a forklift and industrial equipment for extended periods.

Ability to work comfortably in a warehouse setting with exposure to heat, dust and varying seasonal temperatures.

Ability to lift, pull. or maneuver materials as required to complete daily tasks safely.
