The Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce is seeking a proactive individual to join our team as Advocacy Coordinator. You will have the opportunity to showcase your skills, as this role will be focused on managing the Chambers advocacy efforts to create a positive environment for businesses of all sizes to prosper in our region. You will be responsible for leading maintenance and implementation of the Chambers Advocacy Agenda, communicating the Chambers positions, drafting resolutions and letters of support in cooperation with Chamber leadership, supporting the Chambers advocacy committees, and leading successful advocacy events.

To be successful in this role, strong writing, editing, and communication skills are essential. You must also be prepared to manage competing priorities in a thoughtful manner while remaining responsive to the needs of many internal and external customers. You will be an essential part of a team that relies on everyone to support each other.

This position requires a minimum of 1 year of prior experience in policy research, government relations, volunteer management, and/or public relations. A bachelors degree and 3-5 years of experience are preferred.
