ABOUT THE ROLE

The Purchasing Manager will oversee activities relating to the purchase and procurement of materials and equipment used on high voltage electrical substation, transmission, distribution, solar, and battery storage projects. Company Overview:

Responsibilities: Ensure all purchases adhere to all established policies and procedures Manage vendor (distribution and manufacturing) relationships and expectations involved with procuring materials, equipment, and services Prepare, verify, and forward purchase orders Complete analysis of pricing and price comparison for materials and equipment used in projects Collaborate with estimating to keep bids current, accurate, and competitive Provide procurement support to project managers Work with Operations team to ensure suppliers are delivering according to contract Interact with various internal departments to improve current procurement practices and coordinate excellent service to internal customers Create innovative agreements that bring added value to our business Oversee vendor (distribution and manufacturing) relationships and expectations involved with procuring materials, equipment, and services Regular and predictable attendance Other duties as assigned Essential functions of this position are to be performed at a Company-designated office or field location Understand and company with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards ABOUT YOU

Qualifications: Solid working knowledge of electric construction materials, equipment, and services used in commercial and industrial projects Excellent interpersonal and communications skills Ability to mentor and train colleagues and proven ability to supervise employees Proficient understanding of MS Office Suite applications, especially Excel Valid Drivers License Team player Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies Basic understanding of materials accounting practices Minimum 2 years in a purchasing/procurement role High school diploma or GED WHAT WE OFFER

Compensation & Benefits Salary $70100-$105000 / year Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
