JOB TITLE:Annual Fund Associate

REPORTS TO:Senior Manager of Individual Giving and Major Gifts

COMPENSATION RATE: \$45,000 - \$50,000 annually

POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary focus of this position is to manage the Goodmans mass appeal fundraising campaigns which secure broad-based support from individual donors with gifts primarily below \$2,500. This position requires an energetic, organized, self-motivated person who is able to handle several projects at once with an eye for detail, an advanced understanding of databases, and knowledge of individual fundraising.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Generate all annual giving programs, including three phone campaigns, 3-5 direct mail appeals, annual subscription renewal solicitations, various email campaigns, social media fundraising, and commemorative giving in collaboration with Sr. Manager of Individual Giving and Major Gifts.

Organize and manage data, gift processing, reporting and acknowledgements for all Annual Fund Campaigns.

Partner with Associate Director of Outbound Sales, Box Office Managers, and third-party vendors to successfully execute various Annual Fund Campaigns as needed.

Manage Goodman Marquee Clubs monthly giving program and the Kenneth Sawyer Goodman Society-- the long-time donor appreciation group.

Donor Stewardship

Manage a portfolio of key annual fund donors to secure and increase gifts.Comment by Dakotta Hagar: Does this role only manage the portfolio or should this level of employee identify and research donor leads?

Work with the Senior Manager of Individual and Major Gifts to develop cultivation plans for those with capacity to grow to Premiere Society levels.Comment by Dakotta Hagar: Does this role identify and elevate these annual fund donors for this? Or does the Sr. Manager do the identifying? Who takes the lead on this?

Assist development department staff in stewardship activities relating to donors, including opening nights and other cultivation & benefit events.

Communications

Participate as a member of the Development Communications Team to help shape and maintain the departments messaging, especially in relation to Annual Fund giving.

Planning and Strategy

Identify and implement innovative approaches to fundraising, including new opportunities to increase contributed revenue, cultivate potential donors, steward donors throughout the season, and use new technologies to enhance the donor experience.

Perform an annual review of benefit arrays and adjust as needed.

Execute additional ad hoc campaigns as opportunities arise, including tribute and donor participation campaigns.

Analysis and ProspectingComment by Dakotta Hagar: This was added for Associate work as it requires a deeper understanding of the work.

Provide reports and analysis for managed and mass appeal fundraising, including comparison for year-over-year planning and development benchmarks.

Work closely with all members of the individual giving team to create Analytics Dashboards in Tessitura for tracking progress to over-all goals.

Collaborate with the Philanthropy Officer to identify prospective donors, by mining our database and managing the use of Donor Search. Including coordinating research with the help of fellow team members to assess each donor for potential giving

Help implement essential updates and streamline processes as a member of the Tessitura Development Team.
