Part-Time Chamber Assistant

Hours: Up to 10 hours per week (flexible schedule) Pay:$15 Reports to: Executive Director

Position Summary:

The Glendive Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture is seeking a motivated and dependable part-time assistant to support daily office operations, visitor services, membership communication, and event coordination. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with the public, is organized, and wants to contribute to strengthening our local business community.

Core Responsibilities

Visitor & Community Engagement

Greet visitors with a friendly, welcoming attitude.

Answer questions and provide recommendations for local attractions, restaurants, and lodging.

Maintain and restock brochures, maps, and other visitor materials.

Update community event calendars and ensure information is current and accurate.

Answer phone calls and respond to email inquiries.

Administrative & Office Support

Assist with updates to the Chamber and Discover Glendive websites.

Support social media posting and content creation.

Organize membership materials, renewals, and communication.

Provide administrative support including filing, organizing, and data entry.

Assist with planning and promoting community events.

Create spreadsheets and help track membership, projects, or event-related data.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Friendly, approachable, and professional communication skills.

Organized and detail-oriented with strong follow-through.

Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently.

Willing to learn and be trained on Google Docs, Google Sheets, email, and basic office software.

Knowledge of Glendive's attractions, amenities, events, and local businesses; or willingness to learn quickly.

Ability to work well with Chamber staff and volunteers to ensure an excellent visitor and community experience.

Will be invited to attend Chamber events and assist when available.
