As an intern at Georgia System Operations Corporation, you will have the opportunity to support and learn from our associates with decades of combined industry knowledge.

This opportunity, within GSOC's Shared Services Information Technology Division, will begin Summer 2025.

We'll support you in refining your current skills and discovering new ones all while gaining valuable insights and experience in a professional environment. This hands-on experience will not only expand your knowledge in the Utility industry but also provide you with tangible skills that will benefit your future career endeavors.

Position Requirements:

Successful candidates for internships at Georgia System Operations Corporation should possess strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders. Time management skills are essential to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines efficiently. The ability to thrive in a professional environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams is crucial for success in this role.

Hands-on experience with common technology used in a professional business setting as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office tools are necessary for daily tasks and project execution. Candidates should demonstrate a passion for learning and applying knowledge in a practical setting.

Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program at an accredited college/university with a minimum 2.8 GPA in one of the following areas of study preferred: Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology.

Accepted in the college or university's formal Co-op program.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position are:

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Time management skills and a strong work ethic.

Expanding technology skills commensurate with your current education level.

Hands-on experience with technology, including Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, computer hardware, and software.

Ability to work in a professional environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

Must be enrolled in a bachelor's degree program at an accredited College or University.

Must have a minimum 2.8 GPA and have a tentative graduation date of December 2025 or May 2026 ; unofficial transcripts required prior to the start of the internship.

Ability to work on average 30 hours a week onsite at GSOC offices in Tucker, GA.
