DescriptionCreighton Manning, a GAI Company, is seeking a Junior Engineer (0-2 years of experience) to complement our existing engineering staff working on exciting bridge design and engineering projects in our Structures Group.About This Position:As a Junior Engineer, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer contributing to the team on a variety of bridge and structural engineering projects. Junior Engineers evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks under the general guidance of a Project Engineer or Project Manager on both large and small projects.Responsibilities may include: Collaborating with the engineering team to solve complex problems for the structural analysis and design of bridges, culverts, and other transportation infrastructure projects Attending project meetings with internal project teams and external clients Conducting assessments and inspections of bridges, culverts, and other project components Performing computations for structural analysis and design of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other structural components Design and layout of project components in 2d and 3d Preparing construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents Field observation of construction for adherence to construction plans and specifications Report and memo writing Cost estimating Construction support through review of contractor shop drawings and submittalsJob Requirements: Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program or an approved equivalent EIT certification is preferred Proficiency with Microstation, AASHTOWare, MathCAD and other structural engineering software a plus but not requiredHourly Pay Range:Albany, NY, and Syracuse, NY: $36/hour - $39/hourPoughkeepsie, NY: $36/hour - $41/hourWestchester - White Plains, NY: $36/hour - $45/hourPay is based on applicant's certifications (EIT), skills, and prior experience and will be rated on this scale accordingly.EXTRAsAt Creighton Manning, continuous learning and mentoring are part of our DNA.
