Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional looking for a part-time (25--30 hours/week) non-supervisory role where you can make a significant financial impact? Furuno USA in Camas, WA, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our collaborative Accounting Department.

Your Role at Furuno USA*

This is a part-time position, working 25-30 hours per week, reporting directly to the Credit Manager.

As the Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be crucial in safeguarding the company's financial health by ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our dealer accounts. This non-exempt position processes millions of dollars in payments annually and requires meticulous attention to detail in applying incoming payments, managing credit records, and assisting with collections.

What You Will Be Doing

Your primary responsibilities include:

Payment Processing & Posting: Open and process incoming mail, manage daily deposits, and accurately post all incoming payments to the correct dealer accounts within the Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (BC) ERP system.

Account Management: Maintain and update accurate dealer files, including recording important email communications in the CRM system and relaying changes in information to appropriate internal employees.

Collections & Resolution: Draft correspondence for past-due accounts, proactively contact accountholders for payment, and research/resolve dealer discrepancies and collection issues.

Credit & Order Release: Evaluate accounts, manage the credit limit review process (including preparing JSOX supporting documents), and timely release orders held for credit reasons.

Administrative Support: Send invoices and past-due payment reminders , file materials, and create/maintain "How To's" and SOP's for department processes. You must maintain the confidentiality of sensitive financial information. What You'll Bring

Experience & Education: High school education or equivalent is required. 1--2 years of accounting experience is preferred. Experience in an A/R or A/P position, or working with Microsoft Dynamics, is beneficial.

Knowledge: A strong understanding of accounts receivable and collections is important. An essential understanding of business credit and its implications is also required.

Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills, is necessary. Experience with the Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (BC) ERP system is highly desirable.

Skills: Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills are required (Fluency in English is a must). You must have meticulous attention to detail and the ability to exercise independent judgment to analyze and resolve problems.

Salary & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $22.66 to $28.68 per hour, dependent on experience.

Benefits Note for Part-Time Employees (25-30 hours/week):

Medical/Dental/Vision & Ancillary Benefits (Life/LTD/STD): Part-time employees regularly scheduled to work at least twenty (20) hours per week who have worked 1,000 hours are eligible if they choose to enroll and remit fifty percent (50%) of the monthly premium for the coverage selected.

401K Plan: Long-term, part-time employees are eligible by working 500 hours in a 12-month period for two consecutive years.
