The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the overall day to day operations of receipt, storage, retrieval and shipping of assigned customer's product. This position drives his/her assigned staff to achieve established Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Environmental, Morale goals. This position acts as role model and demonstrates company core values.

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday -- Friday | 7am - 3:30pm | Weekend work as needed

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Requests and schedules resources as required to meet customer and corporate expectations

Establishes and maintains required training material and tools to achieve customer and corporate expectations.

Creates a safe, friendly, and team-oriented work environment.

Drives effective utilization of warehouse, material handling equipment, docks, yard, and manpower.

Ensures job descriptions are accurate for all assigned roles.

Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating and coordinating activities in accordance to established programs (QMS/SMS/EMS/WMS etc.), processes, and company policies/procedures.

Maintains continuous compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

Manages inventory by conducting physical counts and reconciling with inventory systems/records.

Establishes trust-based relationships with employees.

Notifies the Warehouse Manager of any problems with equipment, the building, or any suspicious activities.

Assists with planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; initiating work orders for repair.

Supplies data to support accurate invoicing and control expenditures to achieve financial objectives.

Leads continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training direct reports.

Maintains staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results of direct reports.

Establishes clear, open two-way communication, both upwards and downwards through the organization.

Sets daily management KPI's to ensure performance, analyzes and takes action as needed.

Participates in industry related events, conferences, and workshops to improve skills and job knowledge.

Other Duties

Other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager.

Required Experience and Education:

Associates degree Preferred.

At least five years of relevant warehouse experience (including 2 years of previous supervisory experience), or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must possess leadership skills and interpersonal skills (have ability to manage staff).

Must possess strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
