POSTION: Collections Representative

WORK LOCATION: 220 RXR Plaza, Uniondale, New York 11556

WORK HOURS: Monday through Friday 8:45am 5:00pm

General Statement of Duties:

Responsible for the collections and servicing of residential, commercial, mixed use, and HELOC mortgages in default . This hands-on position requires extensive contact with Borrowers, attorneys, realtors and vendors.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Calls and letters are initiated to all Borrowers that are delinquent 30 days or more, giving priority to loans with high balances, multiple relationships with the Bank. Collection activity and comments are logged onto a database from which reports are generated and reviewed. Participate in weekly conference call to review and discuss all loans in the Weekly Collections Report. Assist in Repayment Agreement process. Pursue and resolve non-payment defaults (property taxes, unauthorized sales, violations, post maturity). Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies and procedures. Perform additional accountabilities as required.

Significant Contracts/Interactions:

Internal: Interacts with Senior Executive Vice President, Senior Vice President, Vice President and Loan Officers, Loan Administrators and other Departments as needed.

External: Borrowers, Attorneys, Real Estate Agents, Vendors, property Managers, Third party representatives

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of General Banking and Lending Operations. Ability to work unassisted on multiple tasks. Two years collection or related experience. Working familiarity with loan security and origination documents. Working familiarity with Word, Excel, and loan servicing systems.

Pay Range: $53,000 - $57,000

Hours: 37.50

This is a non-exempt position, eligible for overtime if the hours worked are over 40 hours. The actual compensation will be based on qualifications, experience and other factors permitted by law.
