We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Part Time Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and supporting overall financial operations. This position offers flexibility and an opportunity to contribute to the financial health of our organization through precise bookkeeping practices. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about accounting, possesses strong technical skills, and thrives in a collaborative environment. This is a part-time position for 8 to 16 hours weekly

Responsibilities:

Record and manage journal entries using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms

Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data

Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently and accurately

Classifying transactions

Inputting payments

Reconciling bank accounts

Customer collections

Liaising with our accounting firm

Paying bills

Qualifications

Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Quicken

Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, governmental accounting, and non-profit accounting practices

Knowledge of GAAP standards and technical accounting concepts including journal entries, debits & credits, and general ledger accounting

Familiarity with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation processes

Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately and efficiently for data entry tasks

Experience with payroll processing, tax compliance, and accounts payable/receivable management

Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail in account analysis and account reconciliation tasks

Strong communication skills for financial report writing and collaborating with team members
