The Nursing Assistant II functions in a complimentary or assistive role under the direct supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. The NA II provides direct patient care and carries out individual duties on select patients in accordance with policies and procedures of Berkshire Medical Center.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: - Minimum one year experience in a medical setting in either a CNA or EMS capacity preferred. Experience - Patient Care experience required Education and Training: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of a nursing assistant course, and completion of the CNA II training within 6 months License, Certification & Registration: - MANA - MA Certified Nurse Aide or enrolled in Nursing school - CPR Other Requirements: - Ability to follow guidelines, protocols and/or policies specific to each unit and the institution. - Familiarity with Meditech preferred. - Medical terminology required or willingness to pursue as necessary. - Ability to consistently interact in a professional manner with patients, families, physicians, other members of the healthcare team. Adheres to BMC Service Excellence Standards in performance of work role. - Must possess and demonstrate excellent organizational skills necessary to complete complicated and multiple tasks accurately and concurrently. - Must have the ability to accept and facilitate changes within systems, work methods, policies, procedures, etc. - Must possess interpersonal skills necessary to maintain congenial and calm composure in stressful environment. - Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with hospital policy and various regulations. - Ability to promote patient safety with detail to accuracy. - Demonstrates dependability to maintain a work schedule. The minimum and maximum of the hourly pay range for this position is shown above. Actual rates of pay may vary based on a range of factors including but not limited to experience and qualifications.
