Environmental, Health, & Safety Co-op

Position Summary: The EH&S Administrator Co-op ensures facility compliance with occupational safety and health regulations, and corporate policies and programs. Deliver and implement training programs for associate safety and EH&S regulatory compliance.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on project workload.

Position Responsibilities:

Conducts facility audits to verify compliance with EHS regulatory and corporate requirements.

Promotes safety awareness and regularly participates in facility safety activities.

Obtains certification to administer first aid treatment for occupational injuries and inhouse drug & alcohol testing.

Delivers established safety training, including New Hire EH&S orientation

Serves as member of various safety committees, including SHEC, First Responders, and Small Spills Team.

Ability to upload and enter data into EHS Software for tracking and storage

Follow written instructions from manager, but work independently

Execute EH&S projects by defined deadlines

Other duties and responsibilities as required

Qualifications:**

Minimum two years related EH&S (Environmental, Health & Safety) experience in manufacturing environment or equivalent

Proficient with Microsoft Office computer software

Excellent interpersonal, and communication skills, and have a positive "bed-side manner"

Must maintain highest level of confidentiality

50% office environment. 50% manufacturing environment
