We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Administrative Clerk to join our team! This role involves a variety of clerical duties, including computer operations, office support, and customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, self-sufficient, and can handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and finalize reports, statements, letters, and memoranda.

Answer and direct phone calls, respond to inquiries and assist visitors.

Process and log permit applications; distribute for review and approval.

Maintain and organize complex filing systems.

Schedule inspections and update records in the system.

Draft correspondence for Council meetings and departmental use.

Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and other office software for documentation.

What We're Looking For:

Strong knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.

High proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (preferred).

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.

High level of accuracy in data entry and document preparation.

Exceptional customer service skills for interacting with the public.

Qualifications:

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience: Prior administrative or clerical experience preferred.

Specialized training in computer operations is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit for extended periods with occasional walking, lifting, and carrying (up to 10 lbs).

Work is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office, with occasional outdoor tasks.
