We are seeking a skilled Administrative Assistant for the area of Bakersfield, CA. This role supports the day-to-day operations of our apprenticeship program by handling phone calls, assisting walk-in visitors, managing emails, and communicating with apprentices regarding schedules and requirements.

Temp to Hire

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Pay Rate: $25.00/HR

Daily Duties:

Answer multi-line phones and respond to general inquiries

Assist and direct walk-in visitors

Respond to and manage email correspondence

Communicate with apprentices regarding program requirements, schedules, and updates

Process applications and wage increases for all apprentice classifications

Maintain and update apprentice records and documentation

Create and manage content for social media platforms

Schedule and conduct applicant interviews

Track and report apprentice work hours across classifications

Review and manage apprentice work reports

Coordinate continuing education classes and training

Compile and maintain Employment Training Panel (ETP) rosters

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelors degree preferred)

2+ years of experience in administrative support, program coordination, or a related field

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data entry systems

Experience in an educational, union, or workforce development environment is a plus

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
