Diesel Engine Maintenance & Repair

Perform diagnostic testing and troubleshoot issues with diesel engines and related systems.

Conduct regular maintenance on buses and trucks (oil changes, brake inspections, tire replacements, and other routine services).

Overhaul and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and other mechanical components as needed.

Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and DOT safety standards.

Fleet Management & Maintenance Coordination

Coordinate routine and emergency maintenance schedules for the fleet.

Communicate with authorized dealers and service centers to schedule repairs and warranty work.

Track maintenance records, ensuring all activities are properly documented.

Work with fleet managers to ensure timely repairs and prevent downtime.

Driving & Operational Support

Operate company vehicles to transport goods or materials as required.

Assist with vehicle inspections and perform preventive maintenance during trips as needed.

Ensure proper loading/unloading of trucks and handle necessary delivery paperwork.

DOT Compliance

Ensure the fleet complies with all DOT regulations, including inspections, maintenance records, and driver documentation.

Prepare and inspect vehicles for DOT audits and keep all compliance activities up to date.

Assist with driver training related to vehicle operations, safety protocols, and compliance standards.

Additional Duties

Participate in after-hours or emergency maintenance, if necessary, to minimize downtime.

Help with other assigned duties, including inventory management of parts and supplies.

Maintain a clean, organized work environment and follow safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications

4 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, bus & truck mechanic, or diesel engine specialist.

Strong knowledge of heavy truck systems, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.

Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.

In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations and fleet maintenance compliance.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication skills to coordinate with service providers, drivers, and team members.

Fluency in Ukrainian is preferred.

Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to track maintenance and service schedules.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).

Ability to bend, crouch, and work in tight spaces.

Comfortable with extended periods of standing and walking.
