Ellis Brothers is seeking skilled and dedicated Mixer Truck Drivers to join our team. We are hiring drivers for front and rear discharge trucks for our Concrete Mixer fleet serving Knox County and surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of ready mix concrete to various job sites. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work collaboratively with construction teams. The Ready Mix Driver will play a crucial role in supporting our customers.

Job Title: Ready Mix Concrete Mixer Driver

Reports to: Plant Manager/Batch Operator**

Job Responsibilities

Safely operate a class B mixer truck for loading, mixing, and delivering ready-mix concrete to jobsite

Utilize proper PPE as needed

Perform daily pre trip inspection on mixer truck

Properly complete delivery tickets with all necessary information per training standards

Visually inspect job site and document any on-site conditions or irregularities that may affect product quality

Complete post trip mixer maintenance per training standards

Train with quality control team to learn properties of ready-mix concrete

Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

Valid Class B or A Commercial Driver's License with a clean driving record

Must be able to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen

Must be able to pass commercial medical examination

Timeliness is a must

Good customer service skills

Good verbal and written communication skills

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Climb ladder on truck several times per day

Adaptable to varying clock in/clock out times and willing to work occasional weekends/nights

Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions

Good sense of direction
