Overall Responsibility

Accountant assists with daily accounting, reconciliation, and other related projects as assigned. Also performs operations support as required including but not limited to the following outline of duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Accounting Activities:

Process Accounts Payable

Process Accounts Receivables

Maintain and reconcile the general ledger

Assists with importing from automated systems

Prepare and file tax returns as needed

Record deposited cash receipts, transfers, etc.

Assist with preparation and creation of financial reports as requested or needed for financial, budget, and variance analysis

Lead quarterly forecast reporting and inputs

Assist with grant financial reporting

Capable of creating reports from Sage Intacct and other accounting systems to support Land and ESL efforts

Create and maintain filing system for electronic documents

Provide assistance and research with audit processes

Have general knowledge/understanding of general accepted accounting principles (GAAP), payroll laws, and accounting systems

Performs other accounting duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

Associated degree in Accounting or Business preferred; or two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience with Sage Intacct, ADP Payroll, and Excel preferred

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs

Must be able to successfully pass a background verification process
