Accounting Assistant

Qualifications

A High School or GED Diploma.

Previous experience with customer service preferred.

Previous payroll experience preferred.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Promotes, executes, and adheres to the companys Health, Safety, and Environmental program.

Processes weekly, bi-weekly, and supplemental payrolls, ensuring accurate allocation of time to the appropriate divisions, jobs, and cost codes.

Tracks and ensures accurate accounting for all deductions, benefits, garnishments, and paid time off (PTO).

Processes and monitor employee allowances and expense reimbursements.

Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive financial and employee information.

Prepares and issues accurate client invoices, ensuring timely and consistent billing cycles.

Reconciles vendor and customer statements; investigates and resolves discrepancies promptly.

Manages vendor and customer records, including onboarding documentation, responding to inquiries, and ensuring effective communication.

Ensures timely and accurate entry of high-volume vendor invoices; researches and resolves discrepancies as necessary.

Reconciles corporate credit cards and performs accurate expense coding.

Collaborates with internal departments and external partners to ensure invoices are properly received, approved, and processed for payment.

Provides support to the accounting/finance and operational departments as needed.

Performs other duties as required based on companys needs.
