Job Duties: Review and update financial mathematical models used for pricing derivatives, assessing risk, and forecasting market trends. Apply mathematical finance concepts to price and value various derivatives instruments. Implement pricing models to determine fair values and assess trading opportunities. Execute complex trades for the portfolio manager. Analyze market conditions, assess risk, and implement trades that align with the fund's strategy and objectives. Research on various equities, sectors, and market trends; analyze financial statements, and assess the investment potential of different securities. Communicate findings to the portfolio manager and other team members to inform trading decisions and optimize portfolio performance. Collaborate with the portfolio manager and team members to develop and refine the fund's investment strategy, provide input and recommendations. Assess and manage the risk associated with options trading and equity investments. Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential losses and protect the fund's assets. Participate in the management and improvement of the booking system used for trade execution and portfolio management; automate processes, enhance system functionality, and streamline workflows. Monitor market trends and regulatory changes that may impact trading strategies and portfolio positions. Stay abreast of developments in options trading, equity research methodologies, and financial markets. Job Requirements: Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, or Mathematics in Finance. Must have at least 12 months of work experience in the same or a related role, e.g. trading assistant, in hedge fund. Experience must include tracking implied volatility, Greeks and liquidity across equity/index options, and supporting portfolio rebalancing by adjusting options hedges for equity portfolio.
