We are looking for an Accounting & Collections Specialist to join our growing team in our Rochester, NY branch!

*Position is located on-site in Rochester, NY

Job Responsibilities:

Accounting & Collections Specialist will:

Call an average of 20-30 customers a day with past due accounts to arrange for timely payment

Research, identify, and resolve invoicing issues with customers

Work with internal departments on resolutions

Answer daily inbound calls with customer payments & questions

Prepare disconnect and final demand letters

Support various accounting functions such as inventory cycle counts, accounts payable processing, and accounts receivable

Additional duties as assigned

Required Background and Experience:

Accounting & Collections Specialist should have:

An Associate's degree or equivalent (preferred)

Customer service, accounting and/or collections experience (at least one year)

Accounts receivable experience (preferred)

Excellent working knowledge of computer software business applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers as needed

High level of interpersonal skills to provide internal and external customer service in a professional manner at all times
