Position: Program Assistant - Human Resources Location: Administration Building/Central Office Start Date: August 4, 2025 Specifications: 7.50 hours per day, 5 days per week, for 12 months per year (260 contract days); Year-round with benefits Pay rate: $22.39 per hour

ob Summary: This position is responsible for supporting the Human Resources Generalists and Administrative Assistants with the strategic staffing process, primarily with onboarding and orienting new hires. The HR program assistant will work collaboratively with the HR department, staff, and external vendors.

High school diploma required.

Two years of experience in a similar position preferred.

Knowledge of standard office procedures and practices preferred.

Proficient administrative skills, including organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

Strong technology skills, including but not limited to all tools in the Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong mathematical, verbal, and written communication skills.

Ability to make decisions independently, as well as to execute assignments of administrative detail as delegated.

Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information.

Must successfully complete and maintain compliance with all federal and state background and criminal record check requirements.

Candidate must adhere to all local, state, federal, and school code requirements for employment, Board policies, and district initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities: (The description below is abbreviated. Other duties will be assigned by management)

Responsible for coordinating and conducting all aspects of new employee orientation.

Track, process, file, and follow up on all new employee paperwork.

Maintain HR files in electronic databases. File/scan paper and electronic personnel, benefits, and payroll documents, which includes updating name changes on files, inactivating terminations, saving email personnel action items and termination letters, etc.

Responsible for issuance/replacement and tracking of all employee identification badges.

Process all tuition reimbursement and DAEA column movement requests.

Maintain a positive attitude and provides exceptional customer service to external and internal stakeholders.

Act as backup for district administration building receptionist.

Perform other duties as assigned.
