We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial concepts and principles, with a focus on accuracy and compliance. This role is essential in maintaining the financial health of our organizations. The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and providing insights that support strategic decision-making.

Role and Responsibilities Work with accounting staff for all companies with day-to-day accounting duties Manage ledgers and ensure accurate financial record keeping across departments Receive and process invoices and billing statements Track payments and ensure accuracy of paid accounts Assist with general accounts payable and accounts receivable duties Contact clients and vendors as necessary to ensure accurate and on-time payments Assist with weekly payroll within all companies and any reporting related to payroll Prepare written reports for delivery to senior-level managers Utilize spreadsheets and database tools to assist in financial record keeping Assist with preparation of budgets and track compliance Maintain accurate filing system Organizatioanl and customer service support Communicate effectively via email, providing prompt and concise responses Perform other tasks as required

Required Skills Notary Public license preferred Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred Working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite productivity tools Ability to quickly learn and utilize industry-specific accounting tools Strongly detail-oriented with a heavy focus on maintaining accuracy and integrity of accounts Proven analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to multitask across different @types of accounting-related projects
