Senior Production Supervisor

Objectives

Under the direction of the Operations and Purchasing Manager, oversee and transact the day-to-day operations to implement the manufacturing, purchasing, and inventory activities as required by the Company.

Job Requirements

Responsible for the achievement of manufacturing goals within the work cell(s) including safety, efficiency, and quality.

Operate production machinery when needed.

Develop and implement Work Instructions and procedures to ensure compliance with the QMS

Execute and Implement engineering change orders for production products and processes.

Assure the IQ/OQ/PQ and other process validations and requirements are executed and documented.

Assure all technicians are properly trained and documented through Grand Avenue for all Work Instructions and Procedures.

Along with the operations leadership team, actively participate in initiatives to eliminate errors in production, improve the efficiency of assembly, monitor training effectiveness, and notify the supervisor or manager of deficient or erroneous work within the department.

Work with management to develop a production planning process to clearly communicate daily/weekly assembly activities and shipping goals.

Assign and manage staffing of work cells to ensure production planning is executed

Responsible for overseeing the labeling, packaging, and in-process testing as required by assembly instructions and procedures.

Support the implementation and maintenance of a lean 6S environment.

Work with other senior staff to ensure material planning is sufficient to achieve the production scheduling expectations.

Assure compliance with Company, Local, State, and Federal Laws regarding workplace safety.

Supervision of up to 5 people may be required

Minimum Required Qualifications:

Supply chain and/or manufacturing experience required.

Experience and training in common measuring tools and equipment.

Ability to work with Microsoft Office products.

ERP/MRP experience preferred.

Self-starter; ability to multitask and able to work independently.

Effective written and verbal communication.

Skills and Abilities:

Able to interpret complex or semi-complex information and data interpretation including but not limited to BOM's, ECO's, Work Instructions, engineering drawings, etc.

Strong interpersonal skills, able to resolve basic conflicts.

Ability to foster a healthy and collaboration-oriented work environment.

Ability to engage and motivate the team to accomplish expected results/goals/targets.

Excellent analytical skills including the ability to identify and escalate potential problems.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment.

Excellent attendance, discipline, and a positive attitude are necessary.
