The Dietary Aide plays a crucial role in supporting the Dietary Department by performing essential work and cleaning routines. This position is available for both full-time and part-time schedules. Responsibilities include:

Carrying out defined work routines with various dietary utensils, supplies, and equipment.

Assisting the cook in meal preparation and service.

Ensuring timely meal and snack service.

Executing cleaning schedules and performing assigned cleaning duties diligently.

Helping with the preparation and serving of snacks, salads, and desserts.

Setting up the dining area and serving patients during meal times.

Conducting basic cleaning tasks in the kitchen.

Assisting in receiving and storing food supplies safely.

Completing side work and other opening/closing responsibilities.

Participating in departmental and in-service educational programs.

Adhering to safety codes while performing all duties.

Following sanitation and safety guidelines at all times.

Shifts are 4:30am - 3:00pm and/or 9:00am - 7:30pm

Requirements

Entry level position - training will be provided.

Previous experience in food service within a healthcare setting preferred.

Must possess or be in the process of obtaining a valid Nevada Food Handler Certification.

Basic understanding of food service practices and nutrition.

Knowledge of safe food handling techniques preferred.

Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.

Capable of working in varying environmental temperatures and settings.

Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with patients and co-workers.

Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Note: Pre-employment drug screening, to include testing for marijuana, is required upon job offer.
