Job Description: Job requires the operation of various tractors and farm equipment to till soil; work ground; prepare and maintain land; and plant, irrigate, fertilize, spray, cultivate, harvest, and transport

crops to elevator or storage area. Equipment that workers may be required to operate includes, but is not limited to, tractors with various implements, sprayers, combines, back-hoes, mowers, tract-hoes, and ATVs/side by sides. Non-CDL farm trucks (pickup trucks) will be loaded with agricultural products and driven on the farm and to on-site storage facilities. Job requires operating irrigation equipment, clearing and maintaining irrigation ditches, operating well motors, operating and maintaining pivots, draining excess water

from fields, and monitoring fields to check on and maintain adequate water supply to crops. Manual labor includes but is not limited to loading seed into planters; properly mixing chemicals; loading chemicals into sprayers; changing combine cutting heads; roughing fields and using hand tools to remove undesirable plant varieties, rocks trash, and other objects from fields; welding (occasional, rudimentary welding repairs (~ 10 times per year) to make minor repairs to farm equipment and implements, such as repairing minor structural issues (railing, cracks along trailer bracket, cracks on field cultivator, etc.)); performing general maintenance, repairs and /or clean-up of storage sheds, pivot points, trash, and other objects from fields; welding; performing general maintenance, repairs and/or clean-up of storage sheds, pivot points, buildings, barns and all farm equipment; ensuring operational areas are organized and well maintained; maintain and clean farm vehicles, machinery, and specialized machinery and agricultural equipment (maintenance will be limited to checking and maintaining oil, and changing the oil and oil filter rather than mechanical or engine work); mowing and

landscaping on the farm; lifting items as needed; receiving crop for storage at grain storage facility; disposing of spoiled grain; transporting grain from fields to grain bins; loading and unloading grain into trucks while keeping grain level; operating augers and grain conveying equipment; monitoring grain moisture levels;

preparing scale tickets; and shoveling grain.

Requirements: Driver's License or ability to obtain/renew upon hire.
