Cost Accounting and Analysis:

Analyze manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead, to determine accurate product cost structures;

Perform variance analysis between standard and actual production costs, investigating discrepancies and providing recommendations for corrective actions;

Prepare cost forecasts and budgeting reports to support strategic planning and pricing decisions;

Inventory and Production Cost Control:

Monitor and reconcile inventory valuation against physical counts and accounting records, ensuring consistency and compliance with cost accounting standards;

Work closely with the production teams to track work-in-process (WIP), raw materials, and finished goods throughout the production cycle;

Ensure proper allocation of costs to various stages of the production cycle, ensuring compliance with internal cost accounting policies;

Financial Reporting and Support:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports and contribute to management reports and internal financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timelines;

Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes related to cost accounting and inventory, ensuring alignment with financial reporting deadlines;

Collaborate with internal audit staff and the finance team to support external audits and ensure compliance with cost-related financial regulations and internal controls;

Accounting Systems Integration:

Maintain and update cost accounting data in the internal business system, ensuring data integrity and accuracy;

Collaborate with IT staff to streamline data flow and improve reporting accuracy and cost analysis capabilities;

Analyze data from multiple systems to generate actionable insights on cost efficiency, profitability, and areas for improvement;

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Coordinate with the purchasing, logistics, engineering, and manufacturing staff to understand cost drivers and optimize production planning;

Provide support for decision-making related to pricing, product mix, and capital investments through cost-benefit analyses;
