POSITION OPENING ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL

DAINGERFIELD JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL

Education:

Master's Degree from an accredited college or university recognized for teacher education

Proper training in Public School Administration

Mid-Management Certification

Certified Appraiser in the Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS)

Experience:

Minimum three years successful teaching experience required

Successful experience as an Assistant Principal desired

Other successful experience in a Public School leadership role considered

Position Goal:

Utilize skills to provide a complete program of educational services at the Middle School level

Required Abilities:

Strong leadership and management qualities

Work with the principal as a supporting member of the leadership team.

Listening and communicating skills

Belief in shared decision-making

Strengths in Human Resources, instructional planning, positive discipline management, budgeting, student activities planning, and effective use of technology
