RESPONSIBILITIES

Follows plant safety procedures and guidelines

Know emergency procedures and what to do in the event of power outages, machine failures, workplace injuries, etc.

Wears and utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

Understand and identifies Lock-out/Tag-out procedures

Informs supervisor of safety issues; reports any workplace injury or incident immediately

Actively participates in the D&W safety improvement process/activities, e.g. Hazard Identification, Safety

Suggestions, Safety Teams, etc.

-Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility.

Identifies many @types of raw material, in process or finished product, equipment, or processing materials. Checks identification of materials to be moved, cross-references with production schedule or shipping schedule, and moves to required location. Reports inconsistencies or problems to supervisor.

Familiarizes self with productive capacity of machines or loading schedule of shipping services to assure prompt delivery of required items to proper destination, so that equipment does not shut down for lack of supply.

Keeps tally or count of product moved and reports to production planning department.

Uses snips to open loads, removes strapping and wrapping and disposes of safely in designated containers or areas. Places protective materials around load and uses hand or automatic strapping equipment to secure loads for in-plant handling, interim storage, or final shipment to customers.

Handles supplies being delivered to in-plant departments.

Removes empty skids and stacks skids in designated area.

Services truck, changing propane tanks or batteries, changing oil and water etc. Reports mechanical or electrical difficulties.

Will be working in the warehouse staging orders, putting finished goods away, and unloading the receiving dock on a rotating basis.

Move stock and other materials to and from storage and production areas by hand or other equipment

Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments, material and equipment needs

Ability to hand build pallets per MO

Attach identifying labels to containers, and/or mark them with identifying information

Secure material and products for transport to designated areas by using the stretch-wrapper machine

Assists other workers with specific tasks as requested

Follow plant quality practices including Good Manufacturing Practices, or GMP's

Manually or mechanically load and unload materials and products from pallets, skids, platforms and trucks

Unloads and verifies inbound shipments

Verifies actual quantities as compared to picking list, packing list, BOL, and other WH Operation standard paperwork

Supports the Plant's Food Safety initiatives by completing plant required Food Safety training and by implementing / complying with the required practices.
