About this Job:

The Customer Service Specialist plays a central role in delivering an exceptional customer experience by acting as a liaison between D&D Ingredients and our customers. This individual supports order management, resolves inquiries, communicates pricing and product information, and ensures that customer needs are met accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of understanding both operational processes and customer expectations. This role also contributes to maintaining a professional, responsive, and team-oriented culture that reflects D&D's commitment to service and performance.

Key Responsibilities: ?

Customer Relationship Management

Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, ensuring timely, professional, and proactive communication.

Provide order updates, confirm product availability, and relay relevant information to internal teams.

Build positive relationships with customers by understanding their business needs and delivering solutions aligned with D&D's offerings.

Identify opportunities to upsell products or services by understanding customers' goals and recommending complementary products or ingredients.

Represent D&D Ingredients with professionalism, responsiveness, and a customer-first mindset.

Assist in onboarding new customers and supporting their integration into D&D's order and communication systems

Recognizes anomalies in customer orders, order patterns and proactively investigates for clarification.

Order Coordination & Communication

Manage customer orders from entry through fulfillment, ensuring alignment with internal production and logistics schedules.

Monitor delivery timelines, resolve shipping issues, and keep customers informed on status changes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including Production, Formulations, Purchasing, Quality Assurance, Shipping and Receiving, and other departments---to ensure accurate and timely release and shipment of product.

Work closely with internal teams to help resolve customer issues or concerns efficiently and Maintain accurate customer records and communicate any changes in order specifications or product availability.

Demonstrate accountability and a proactive approach to resolving challenges that may impact customer satisfaction.

Pricing & Product Support

Support customer pricing execution by communicating updates and maintaining accuracy in customer files.

Assist in coordinating quotes and product specifications with internal pricing and purchasing teams.

Summarize and communicate commodity or market-related changes that impact product pricing or availability.

Help ensure pricing transparency and customer understanding through clear and timely communication.

Share relevant market, pricing, or customer insights with internal stakeholders to support strategic alignment.

Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement

Proactively address customer issues or concerns, following through to resolution and escalating when necessary to your manager.
